General Motors Canada SmartCoverage Insurance

In less than 5 minutes find out if you’re overpaying for car insurance by comparing quotes from 30+ insurance providers.

The best part? It’s FREE

In Canada, General Motors (GM) works with a website called SmartCoverage Insurance. It is a place for customers to find auto insurance estimates for their GM cars and trucks. If you like the quote that you get then you can submit your request and have a SmartCoverage representative contact you by telephone. This representative will help walk you through the process of getting your insurance.

Where Can You Get SmartCoverage Insurance?

SmartCoverage is only available in two provinces: Ontario and Quebec. They may expand their services to offer GM car insurance in other provinces at some point. SmartCoverage also has a website of their own that provides insurance to residents of Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. In the latter two provinces their insurance is underwritten by the Motors Insurance Corporation. However, Traders General Insurance Company underwrites their coverage in the province of Alberta.

Discounts

The SmartCoverage page on the GM website doesn’t have any discounts but there is 5% online discount available on the actual SmartCoverage website. They also have two quote forms on that page. One is a 30 second qualifier and the other is a five minute “smart quote.” There is also a discount on the SmartCoverage website of up to 15% for a multi-vehicle policy. If you can save 15% when insuring two vehicles then you should think about these policies as that will equal significant savings.

Finding GM auto insurance is easier than you think. Use SmartCoverage to make the process that much easier.
