Cons

- The bounce resistance is not that great.
- The tires come in limited sizes, so SUV owners may not be able to find a tire to fit.
Key Features
- Stable handling when turning as the contact pressure distribution raises the contact area.
- Wet traction and snow traction are greatly improved by wide grooves and lugs.
- Lasting performance
- Asymmetric pattern: This pattern in tread designs allows tires to handle better when compared to symmetric ones.
- Features an internal structure composed of JointLess Band (JLB) Technology that makes the tire stronger. To protect the tire against road hazards, spiral wraps of nylon reinforcement cord are placed over two steel belts and extra polyester cord in the sidewalls.
- Nano-Fit rubber mixes both flexibility and rigidity to assist the rubber tread in adhering to any icy surface.
- Maxx Sharp Edge with Miura-Ori Sipes offers superior blade density to assist in preventing block distortion and boost thread-to-ice connections.
- Snow platform indicators much the same as "snow wear bars' ' are molded into the Winter Maxx 2's tread grooves. This signals to the driver when winter traction will be decreased as the tire's tread gets to the point where the remaining tread depth becomes inadequate in deep snow and slush.
The Dunlop Winter Maxx 2 was produced to be used on a variety of sedans, coupes, minivans, and crossover vehicles. What makes this tire special is that it features an asymmetric pattern versus a symmetric one. Amazing traction can be had in light snowfall or highways that have deeper snow.
Winter Maxx 2 tires show they meet the business’ severe snow service requirements and are labeled with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol. Under this test, it will measure the tire’s acceleration traction on medium-packed snow only. Braking or turning on the snow or ice traction aren’t elements of this testing.
Dunlop tires are owned by different companies globally. Founded by the tire pioneer John Boyd Dunlop in Birmingham, England in 1889, it is owned and run by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Terrain
The three-dimensional interlocking zigzag sipes assist in enhancing the block rigidity to benefit snow and ice traction, but are super durable on dry roads for superior handling and greater treadwear.

Warranty
The warranty that comes with the Dunlop Winter Maxx 2 tires provides uniformity on the tires for the first year. Under this warranty, conditions that require a tire to be removed from service that are within the tire company’s control of raw materials or quality of workmanship will be covered. There is a treadlife warranty offered, but it does not include a manufacturer’s road hazard warranty. The treadlife warranty is only good for the original purchaser and if the tires were only installed and used on the original vehicle.
Workmanship warranty is included on these tires for 6 years. Free replacement is offered in the first year or until 2/32” of wear. After this, the warranty will be prorated until the 2/32” is the remaining depth.
Customer reviews
The reviews for the Dunlop Winter Maxx 2 tires are very positive. Many rave over the great traction. For others, the ride was comfortable and the tread life was higher than expected.
Conclusion
With an aggressive tread pattern and an affordable price tag, the Dunlop Winter Maxx 2 is a high-quality tire that should not be passed up. Amazing performance can be withstood in snowy and slushy conditions. The studless ice and snow tires work perfectly for a wide variety of vehicles but will need to be changed out once the snow and ice melt. These tires should only be installed in sets of 4 per the manufacturer’s advice.
